"Be Here Now" is the third studio album by the English rock band Oasis, released on August 21, 1997, by Creation Records. The album was recorded at several studios in London, including the renowned Abbey Road Studios, as well as at Ridge Farm Studio in Surrey. While the album continues the anthemic sound of Oasis' previous work, it features longer tracks with extensive guitar overdubs, a production choice made by Noel Gallagher to give the album a "colossal" sound. The cover art shows the band at Stocks House in Hertfordshire. This album is notable for being the last studio release to feature founding members Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs on guitar and Paul "Guigsy" McGuigan on bass, who both left the band in 1999.
Led by the single "D'You Know What I Mean?", "Be Here Now" was an immediate commercial success, becoming the fastest-selling album in British chart history and reaching number one in 15 countries. It was the best-selling album of 1997 in the UK, with 1.47 million units sold that year, and had sold eight million copies worldwide by 2016. The album was certified 6× Platinum in the UK and Platinum in the US, marking Oasis' third and final Platinum album in the US.
While the album received positive reviews upon release, retrospective critiques have been less favorable, with many describing it as bloated and over-produced. Band members have differing opinions on the album: Noel Gallagher has been critical of it, while Liam Gallagher has expressed a fondness for it, calling it his favorite Oasis album.
