"Fallen" marks the debut studio album of the American rock band Evanescence, released on March 4, 2003, under Wind-up Records. Drawing from their earlier independent releases, the album incorporates several songs from their repertoire. Recorded between August and December 2002 across various studios in California, "Fallen" captures the band's raw energy and emotional depth.

The album produced four impactful singles: "Bring Me to Life," "Going Under," "My Immortal," and "Everybody's Fool." "Bring Me to Life" and "My Immortal" soared into the top 10 of over 10 countries, including the US, UK, and Australia. "Fallen" emerged as Evanescence's most commercially successful album to date, with sales surpassing 10 million copies in the US and over 17 million worldwide. It stands as the sixth best-selling album of the 21st century, debuting at number seven on the Billboard 200 with 141,000 copies sold in its first week and peaking at number three in June 2003. In November 2022, it achieved diamond certification by the RIAA.

Receiving praise from music critics, "Fallen" garnered generally positive reviews. Evanescence earned five nominations at the 46th Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, Best Rock Album, Best Rock Song, Best Hard Rock Performance, and Best New Artist, winning the latter two categories. At the following year's ceremony, "My Immortal" received a nomination for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals, further solidifying the album's enduring impact and critical acclaim.
